Do seek prompt medical attention if warranted.

The health and well being of the client is the primary concern and comes before all other matters. The Law Office of Daniel English is committed to taking every measure to ensure this. They, in fact, have access to a team of medical providers to be certain that the best possible care is given and that it is done so in a timely manner.

Do keep a journal.

Take and keep comprehensive notes on everything relating to the accident. This can include doctor’s appointments, receipts and cost of medication, even pain, missed work logs and more. There is no detail that should be considered unimportant.

Do not give any statement, recorded or otherwise.

Do not speculate with witnesses or third parties or discuss what happened to cause the accident at any time. Complete research often unveils more than originally perceived. Inadequate or incomplete information can cloud the issue making resolution more difficult. Do not discuss prior health issues or injuries.

Do not sign any documents or statements.

In the confusion of the moment or the emotional entanglement that follows an incident, be careful not to sign any statement or documents. These can sometimes be admissions, waivers or releases that later, after full and complete disclosure, render you incapable of garnering what is rightfully yours.

Keep all pertinent correspondence and documents for your insurance carrier.

You will most likely be asked to provide insurance policies, information concerning previous claims as well as the identity of all medical care providers. Careful records pertaining to insurance claims and policies should be maintained.
